Brian,
this is a wonderful page. Thanks for all the great photography and the thoughtful essays. I feel like I've to read up on Thoreau a lot, though...
All the best for your travels!

Chris mentioned your site so I had to look. No matter what you do, you do it best! From ECC to now I've always been impressed and inspired.

Hey Brian,
I just happened to be listening to Bon Iver while looking at your work they go together perfectly. Breathtaking! Thank you for sending me the link. Check out some Bon Iver you'll love it. Your photographs would brighten up the darkest of days.

Brian, I am so very taken with your words of wisdom, you have been blessed with the ability to draw us into your wonder. I too love the very old, whether buildings or items I find, I always feel I'm giving it new life in some way and that it will bring some of it's spirit forward to me. Keep up your great work!! Love Angie

I love the clusters of 4 photos. They are individually attractive, but together--wow! The "haines" cluster is my favorite.

Brian,
I am on your list because I am on Vic's list;
don't delete me, please. I love seeing your pictures of Alaska (is it possible to take a bad one?); it takes me back. It is the most beautiful land I have ever seen. Ask Vic about our (I'm his Mother) trip to Paris (oh! and about my tattoo). I occasionally share writing with James in New Orleans I shall look forward
to opening stillbook (what a great title) in the future.

Hey Brian!
Your thoughts on making a living parallel mine. It was a comfort and inspiration to read your reflections. It's always nice to know that I have allies in the fight to maintain my own voice, my own integrity.
Keep the flame alive!!!

I admire both Whitman and Thoreau, and I think this particular writing resembles Whitman's style and ideas much more than Thoreau's. It also is faintly reminiscent of taoism.

Will you please send me an email with some pricing information about your photos? Thanks!

It is a somewhat lonely experience to be true to one's self, but never an empty one. Your wonder and courage are most welcome, thank you.

Thank you so much for telling me about your website. Unlike you, I have difficulty expressing my emotions through the use of words. But I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed my cup of tea this Saturday morning reading and viewing life through your perspective.
...Might I add, one of my favorite paintings is "Street in Venice" by JSS
I look forward to absorbing more of your views next time I'm in Greensboro....

Found you through Shelly,.... the pics. Bring me back, Wafco is nice after a stong storm, I've been in the parking lot for thundersnow at night, that must have been back in 99. Watch for double rainbows over downtown after a spring banger, just go across the street to the hill/ bowl with the campers on top (I remember when there weren't there)- its a good spot for sunsets.
I've been living in Boston for 5 years now but I can still feel the brick of the mill, I lived in 100 c. Thank you for the captured space.

Brian,
Very creative content and a very interesting website. I haven't had a chance to review all of the content, but what I have is impressive.

I just came to see it...I loved, just like I imagined when I saw your card. Let's talk when I come back to work. Let's exchange some ideas!
